The Humboldt County Animal Shelter hosted its annual holiday fundraiser Dec.13 to support the shelter’s Emergency Medical Fund.
Thanks to the generosity of the community through the donations the shelter successfully raised $21,109.35. These funds will directly support animals requiring urgent emergency medical care, ensuring they receive the treatment they need to get a second chance to live healthy and happy lives with their new families.
A Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release says, “Each contribution makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the animals we serve.”
Sheriff William Honsal extended a heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers of the Humboldt County Animal Shelter. He said, “The dedication shines through every day from rescuing animals in need, providing loving care and daily enrichment, to coordinating adoptions and keeping the shelter running smoothly. The compassion, hard work and love for every animal in our shelter make a world of difference, and we are truly grateful for everything you do.”
